31 Year-Old Man Charged After Drunk Driving Crash Kills Pregnant Woman, Two Others in Arlington, TX

Arlington, Texas - 31-year-old Adan Hermosillo Garcia was arrested and charged by Arlington and Mansfield police for the death of three after a drunk-driving accident occurred on Saturday morning in Arlington, Texas.

The crash happened along the frontage road of State Highway 360 around 7:34 a.m.

Investigators believe a driver pulled over to assist a second driver who was having a mechanical problem with their vehicle when an SUV, suspected to be driven by Garcia, rear-ended the second car, which caused a chain-reaction crash.

A woman, identified as 28 year-old Alexius Mills, was pregnant with a baby boy. She was transported to an area hospital, where doctors delivered her baby. However, both Mills and the baby boy died from their injuries.

A man, identified as 27 year-old Justin Dike, was trapped under the SUV and pronounced dead at the scene. He was confirmed to be the father of the child who died.

Police said Garcia attempted to flee the scene after the crash but was quickly located and arrested by Mansfield officers.

According to police, Garcia faces three charges of intoxication manslaughter and three counts of failing to stop and render aid in an accident involving death.

Mansfield police are leading the investigation into the crash, while Arlington police are leading the investigation into the charges.
