Arlington Police Arrest 23 Year-Old Man for Harboring 14 Year-Old Runaway Child
Arlington, Texas - 23-year-old Andre McNair was arrested Tuesday night in Arlington and charged with harboring a 14-year-old girl who was reported missing from Atlanta last week, according to Arlington. The teenager has been found safe, as confirmed by authorities.
According to the Dallas Morning News, McNair was booked into the Arlington Jail about 11 p.m. and charged with the misdemeanor. His bail was set at $5,000. It was unclear whether he had an attorney.
The girl was reported missing Aug. 5 after she didn’t come home from her first day of the new school year at North Atlanta High School, according to CBS46 in Atlanta. The school district said she never boarded the bus home.
The 14-year-old was found in Arlington with McNair, who was arrested on Irongate Drive, near Randol Mill Park and Interstate 30, according to jail records.
The Atlanta Public Schools Police Department said the girl family has been notified and has requested privacy.
