Arlington, Texas - The Texas Department of Transportation will close both directions of I-30 main lanes through an approximately five-mile stretch in Arlington this weekend.

The closure will last from 7 p.m. Friday (Sept. 10) through 5 a.m. Monday (Sept. 13) in order for crews to demolish the southbound SH 360 frontage road bridge.

The closure will take place between State Highway 360 and President George Bush Turnpike (State Highway 161).

Eastbound I-30 drivers will be detoured onto southbound FM 157, then to eastbound SH 180, then to the northbound SH 161 frontage road to the eastbound I-30 director ramp, which will be toll free during the detour. Westbound traffic will take the opposite detour.

The demolition is part of the Texas Department of Transportation's $233 million I-30/SH 360 Interchange Project, which will take the interchange from its current cloverleaf design to a modern, fully-directional interchange with connection ramps for all movements between I-30 and SH 360.
