Arlington, Texas - 20-year-old Jacob LaTravis Yi was arrested and charged with Murder after a dispute over purchased cellphones led to two men being shot on Saturday in Arlington, Texas.
The shooting occurred around 3:00 pm at a shopping center parking lot off S. Cooper St. and W Pleasant Ridge Rd. When officers arrived at the scene, they located two males on the ground with apparent gunshot wounds. One of the victims, a 31-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other victim, a 29-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
According to the official arrest affidavit, the shooting occurred over a dispute regarding purchased cellphones. Yi had agreed to sign up for iPhones for one of the victims (31) at a nearby AT&T store. The victim was to buy the phones and pay Yi for his part.

The 29-year-old man, who was with the victim, was shot and hid behind a pillar after he was fired upon.
Yi was arrested and charged with Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Police learned he also had an active warrant related to an ATF weapons charge.
