One Killed, Another Critically Injured in Terrible Street Racing Crash in Arlington, Texas

Arlington, Texas - A 45 year-old woman, Priscilla Rodriguez, is facing multiple felonies after a two-vehicle crash in Arlington, Texas left one man dead and a young woman in critical condition on Tuesday, January 11.

The crash occurred around 5:00 pm on W Green Oaks Blvd. According to police, a Honda Accord was attempting to turn left onto W Green Oaks Blvd when Rodriguez, traveling in a Porsche Cayenne at a high rate of speed, t-boned the car. The impact of the crash pushed the Accord into a light pole.

Police say Rodriguez was racing another vehicle at the time of the crash. Investigators estimate that she was going about 80 mph in the 45 mph zone on W Green Oaks Blvd.

The driver of the Accord, a 30-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 20-year-old female passenger in the Accord was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and is currently listed in critical condition.

Rodriguez was also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She is expected to be charged with two counts of Racing on a Highway Causing Serious Bodily Injury or Death.
