Six Flags Signature 'Fright Fest' Event Returning in September After Year-Long Hiatus

Arlington, Texas - Six Flags Entertainment Corporation’s signature Halloween celebration, Fright Fest®, is returning after a year hiatus spurned by the ongoing pandemic.

Fright-Fest, an almost two-month long event, is known for its immersive, nighttime experiences, including miles of “haunted” mazes, Halloween-themed shows, and live band performances, scareactors prowling the midways, and monster-themed rides.

This year, Six Flags is collaborating with Coca-Cola®, and Fanta® to deliver new, innovative augmented reality (AR) experiences to park guests. These web-based AR experiences will be available at select Six Flags locations, either by scanning onsite QR codes or a Six Flags drink bottle.

Each of the four featured experiences will reveal a hidden “scare” within the Fright Fest-inspired AR scenes that allow users to create sharable content. Guests can even visit the Fanta® photobooth experience inside the parks, which puts users into the middle of a zombie attack.

Fright-Fest will run from September 11 to October 31 at the Six Flags Over Texas location in Arlington.

Other Six Flags location Fright Fest dates include:

  • Six Flags Fiesta Texas – September 10–October 31
